Carraig Donn, one of Ireland’s top retailers and knitwear manufacturers, has chosen Futura’s EPOS software and retail management system to provide a stable and dynamic tool to help drive the business forward and to strengthen merchandising and inventory control. The investment by the Group will be in the region of €300k.
It is anticipated that the new system will be central to the export-led expansion plans of its knitwear manufacturing company as Futura’s strengths in inventory reduction, customer data capture, the use of historic data to predict trends, capturing buying behaviour were key reasons for selection.
The Group, which recently added another new store at MacDonagh Junction in Kilkenny, has 20 high street and premier shopping centre locations throughout Ireland, showcasing the best of Irish and international designer fashion, lifestyle giftware, accessories and jewellery.
To support Carraig Donn’s continuing expansion operation and to increase business efficiencies the Group required a reliable IT provider and a robust EPOS system which will be used initially across 45 new touch screen tills.
Welcoming this announcement Managing Director of Futura Ian Royall said:
“We are delighted that such a national prestige brand as Carraig Donn chose the Futura EPOS system. This system is in place in top international retail brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Crew Clothing, Oliver Bonas and Cath Kidston.”
A spokesperson for Carraig Donn confirmed: “We chose Futura because it continues to push the boundaries of what an EPOS system can deliver; with innovative modules and measurable return on investment. Helping to speed up the customer buying experience, enhancing customer service and the fact that it’s a cost effective and quick to learn solution were key factors.”
