Merry Christmas From Futura – 2017 Highlights

 – 80% survey respondents confirmed the information was valuable

Futura’s 2017 User Group was a chance for Futura’s customers to hear of key technical developments, meet like-minded retailers and learn more about optimising their EPOS platform over 2 days. The feedback from the event was very positive, the topics that generated the most interest were:

  • New Futura features and updates available now by upgrading to the latest version.
  • The wealth and variety of pre-configured reports now available within Futura4Analyser, powered by Qlik.
  • New POS audit reports to improve cashier productivity, improve customer service and reduce shrinkage.
  • The variety of developments around making customer data capture more accurate, including a new easy to use customer capture screen and e-receipt offering to encourage customers to sign up.

Lastly, following requests for more regular updates, Futura will start contacting customers directly by email in 2018. 

Other news

This year we are pleased that Joy the Store is now using Futura and that we had a successful launch of Squirrel Loyalty with  Morleys Stores, in their new Bexley Heath Store.  It is now also live across their flagship store, Elys of Wimbledon.

Christmas support arrangements


A quick reminder to make any additional support arrangements you may need for the festive period.

Please note that the standard support hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 5.30 p.m.  In addition to this, the Futura office will be Closed on the following days:

  • Monday 25th December (Christmas Day)
  • Tuesday 26th December (Boxing Day)
  • Monday 1st January (New Years Day)

Any clients with Out of Hours contracts will be covered as usual for the weekends and bank holiday.  Please note the hours covered are:

  • Saturday – 9 a.m. – 6p.m.
  • Sunday – 10 a.m. – 6p.m.
  • Bank Holidays – 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Weekdays 5.30p.m. – 9p.m.

Out of hours contracts only cover issues that are affecting the ability to trade at the till point.

If ANY customer would like guaranteed support for hours outside of their standard support contract, for example, to cover the busy weekends leading up to Christmas or late-night openings, then we will be happy to provide this cover on a temporary basis but please be aware you must pre-arrange this with the support department to enable us to manage the staffing levels appropriately.

Calls logged by customers without pre-arrangement may not be responded to outside of our office hours.
