It’s that time of year again! Retail Business Technology Expo, the top UK retail technology event opens this week at Olympia, offering you the best chance to get close to some of the latest tech developments and we are gearing up to showcase a range of new features and releases.

Our focus is very firmly on how we can help lifestyle, department store and fashion brands like you improve the customer experience in-store and online. The digital world continues to dominate the agenda, but it’s crucial that the store experience isn’t overlooked. So we’ll be showcasing developments at both ends of the spectrum and highlighting customers who are already leading the way.

Whether you are new to Futura or an existing customer, we will be demonstrating the latest full version of our flagship FuturaERS EPOS solution alongside our new 4th Generation retail environment Futura4POS. Providing an excellent opportunity to compare the different systems and the benefits to your business.

For those of you considering mobile capabilities, both systems will be accessible using Toshiba tablets, similar to those already deployed by Oliver Bonas, and in addition we will be running Futura4POS on iPad with real time stock look-up functionality.

Omni-channel customer experience requires seamless integration behind the scenes and we will be showcasing our new suite of Web Service API’s which support real time live data feeds for product and stock information, plus order processing and customer data. We’ll be facilitating a range of features including click and collect and gift card. Oliver Bonas, Saltrock and Linens Direct are already deploying this functionality.

For many brands the integration of bricks and mortar with e-commerce stores to provide that all important ‘omni-channel’ experience remains challenging, and using Web Services will provide a significant step up with electronic communications between head office systems, stores and e-commerce platforms all in real time with live data.

With so much emphasis on omni-channel and integration, it’s important not to overlook the in-store experience. E-commerce only brands have already realised with many making the move to open their first stores, and it’s here that retailers have most opportunity to win hearts and minds. Queue busting remains a major focus as customers who desert the high street are likely to be far less loyal once online.

We will be demonstrating a new fully enhanced customer data entry screen with integrated post code look up, providing an intuitive ‘wizard style’ process for customer creation, all designed to increase speed, reduce customer duplication and improve data quality. Customer look-up and recognition with sales history and other data can be improved, increasing the options for a more positive in-store interaction.

We are also excited to be demonstrating the latest addition to the Futura4Loyalty product set Futura’s new Real-time points based collection system, redeems points in-store to give you money off your shopping.

Integration with yReceipts for paperless email receipts and warranties, plus a new real-time points-based loyalty solution for customer to save and redeem in-store and online, and the latest version of Futura’s business intelligence module Futura4Analyser will also be demonstrated.
