DE GRUCHY – THE CHANNEL ISLANDS LARGEST RETAILER - CHOOSES FUTURA TO IMPROVE CUSTOMER LOYALTY

De-GruchyDe Gruchy, a 200 year old department store in Jersey, has chosen Futura’s retail management solution as part of a multi million pound make over and investment strategy, to help improve systems across the store. De Gruchy, which operates out of 76,000 square feet in a landmark building in Jersey’s main shopping area, selected Futura to help speed up the customer buying experience.

De Gruchy’s Merchandise Director Steve Taberman required a software system that had proven efficiency in stock replenishment and could easily provide management visibility for the company’s stock and sales data. Steve also wanted a powerful tool to help reduce stockholdings and so improve working capital availability in these hard times.

Easy to create promotions with Futura’s customer accounts system also proved popular. The system will provide customer credit card accounts, business accounts and credit accounts. A sophisticated loyalty points system together with the facility for top up gift cards will give De Gruchy the flexibility to personalise customer offerings. Futura have worked with De Gruchy to migrate existing customers onto the new system to drive and convert more sales and increase customer loyalty.

Steve Taberman concluded: “We have invested in Futura’s retail management system as it’s a known and trusted brand and because of the positive experience of our parent company Ulster Stores. The system is easy to expand and it has the flexibility to meet the needs of a Channel Islands retailer.”

Although separate companies De Gruchy is now owned by Ulster Stores, who run Futura across six outlets. Standardising on Futura across the group brings a number of management benefits including compatibility for reports such as top performing stock as well as standard purchase orders, open purchase orders and pre-delivery report for goods in.
