Futura demonstrates curated shopping with new mobile sales assistant at RBTE 2018

Fashion and lifestyle retail technology specialist Futura Retail Solutions will demonstrate a brand new mobile sales assistant designed to deliver improved levels of customer service and greater speed and flexibility for a range of in-store processes at RBTE 2018 in London.

Developed specifically for lifestyle and fashion retail, Futura4SalesAssistant provides a fully integrated tablet-based solution, offering a true omnichannel retail experience. This will help to empower sales staff, improve customer interaction, relieve checkouts at busy periods and maximise sales opportunities when specific products, colours or sizes, aren’t immediately available in store.

Sales staff will be able to advise on product availability and pricing with live, real-time data for all stores and product locations with features for curated shopping, including complimentary or alternative products and styles, to provide individual recommendations. Customer orders, click and reserve, click and collect, plus cross-channel customer information, fast data capture, preferences and loyalty are all just a click away.

For smaller retailers or where store displays are limited, the ability to extend the shop window beyond the existing store, sometimes called ‘endless aisles,’ will be a significant advantage. Sales staff will be able to showcase a complete range of products only available online or in other stores and then complete an order with a click and collect or click and reserve to ensure availability.

Developed for mobile devices running Windows 10 Futura4SalesAssistant also supports a range of key back-office operational tasks and processes including price changes, stock transfers and requests, recalls, customer reservations and stock information queries.

In addition to this new mobile capability, Futura will also highlight the latest features in its ever-popular POS and head office retail management solution, now used by more than 100 UK and international retail brands, with the emphasis on delivering robust, scalable solutions to support profitable trading, powerful inventory control and improved customer interaction.

Existing users can get the low down on the latest version upgrades in Futura 3.34 including new tools, features and productivity improvements to enhance merchandising and inventory control with hands-on demonstrations and help with getting the most from the new features.

For retailers just starting out or those planning to replace a legacy system Futura will be providing advice and guidance on key factors to think about when choosing a retail management system including issues like data migration and implementation strategies.

Customer knowledge and data capture is an important focus for any brand and new features in Futura include new and improved customer search and entry screens, with faster customer searching and postcode lookup – essential to improve understanding, cut duplication and drive analysis. Wizard-style navigation and dynamically changing keyboards help to guide operators through the process to improve the quality of data capture and speed at the till.
