Morleys Stores, the London-based independent department store group, is extending its Futura retail POS and Head Office solution to integrate systems at its latest store acquisition, Camp Hopson of Newbury in Berkshire.
Founded in 1921, Camp Hopson joins seven other independent department stores under the Morleys Group, including its flagship store Elys of Wimbledon and is expected to help push group sales beyond the £100 million mark for the first time.
Rolling out the Futura retail management and EPOS solution to the latest store will help stream line operations in line with the rest of the group bringing with it the benefits of centralised buying and improved business intelligence and analysis. The rollout, which also includes Futura’s integrated gift card solution, brings the total number of tills across the Morleys estate to 232.
Building on the success of Futura’s customer loyalty module ‘Futura4Loyalty’ in Elys, Pearsons and Roomes stores, Camp Hopson has also added this, to help improve analysis, data capture and customer promotions.
With live stock data and fast transaction throughput, Futura provides a feature rich EPOS system designed for managing multiple departments and concessions and one that’s easy to learn and use.
“Standardising on Futura since 2008 has ensured a common technology platform across the group, bringing improved data accuracy, better merchandising control and a single consistent view of the business to improve decision making,” said Neil Stockton, Finance Director, for Morleys Group. “The roll out to Camp Hopson aided by Futura has gone extremely smoothly and we have been impressed how quickly new colleagues have taken to the system.”
As well as Elys of Wimbledon, Camp Hopson joins Roomes of Upminster, James Selby in, Islington, Bodgers of Ilford, Pearsons of Enfield and Morleys of Brixton and Tooting, all under the Morleys Group brand.
