RBTE - Futura Announces Next Generation EPOS and new EDI functionality

For 2014 RBTE Futura Retail Solutions will be demonstrating a new 4th generation, enterprise level EPOS solution, written from the ground up and designed for large lifestyle and fashion retailers, as well as brands looking to expand and trade internationally.

In addition the company is introducing new EDI functionality for improved supply chain control and competitive advantage.

With an advanced systems architecture and 2-bit character set, supporting the widest range of languages, Futura4POS is a fully scalable, real time solution, and is already in use by Cath Kidston stores in Shanghai.

Both hardware and database independent and able to run on Windows or Linux, a key benefit to tier 1 enterprise businesses, Futura4POS takes advantage of web services and JAVA plug-ins to integrate a wide range of Futura and third party modules including gift card and loyalty modules, credit card payments, Chip & PIN, RFID or Contactless Payment Systems.  

Futura’s new Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) module, manages the complete information flow between retailer and supplier both up and downstream. Futura will be showing how this can replace a multitude of time consuming business documentation and data entry tasks including entire item catalogues, to reduce order cycle times, streamline inventory management and reduce errors.

Fully compliant with EDIFACT, the international ISO standard for electronic data interchange, Futura’s EDI Module is pre-configured and quick to set up, with a potential return on investment in less than one month.
