Designer brand Santoro steps onto the high-street

You could be forgiven if you haven’t come across the London design house Santoro, which started life in 1983 not far from London’s Carnaby Street. But girls, and mums with daughters everywhere, will surely recognise some of the celebrated gifts and accessories that have driven the company’s success – the Gorjus range of bags, accessories and stationery for instance, the Kori Kumi collection or the Mirabelle range.

Until now Santoro’s range of gifts and designer-led products, covering bags and accessories, gifts and stationery, as well as cards and clothing, has only been available under licence, through selected boutique spaces in high end retailers, and more recently via the Santoro website – http://www.santoro-london.com.

But that’s now changing and we are delighted that Santoro has chosen  Futuras retail management and EPOS solution to spearhead its move onto the UK high street, with the opening of its first store in Bath’s Milsom Street. Hopefully success here will see other openings in select shopping destinations across the UK. You can read more here

Santoro’s move on to the UK high street with its own retail presence celebrates the brand’s 30th anniversary. It also follows a pattern among internet only retailers to open a select high street presence where customers can touch and experience a brand direct, before making a purchasing decision. Who said the high street was dead! Of course online shopping and omni-channel retail will continue to grow and customers with smart shopping habits will continue to drive the agenda, but we still like to shop (well most of us) and we think the store will remain central to building brand experience, even if customers then go and buy online.

Futura4Data is an advanced Data Integration tool that enables the easy  import and export of data from your Futura retail system.

Designed as a modular solution, Futura4Data is easy to use and the ability to save configuration files for daily or weekly routines provides further time saving and accuracy.  Some of these processes can even be automated, therefore requiring no on-going user intervention at all.

Examples of its use are vast but include;

  • importing sales history from previous systems
  • loading new product files or updating the existing one
  • Passing stock, sales and customer information to web stores or other 3rd party systems

The product is constantly being developed further, the most recent additions being the addition of a new target and minimum module at item level and a module to allow orders to be created or edited.
