Futura announces next generation EPOS solutions

Futura Retail Solutions is announcing a new 4th generation, enterprise level EPOS solution, written from the ground up and designed for high street retailers  fashion and giftware brands that are looking to expand and trade internationally.

Futura4POS

With its advanced systems architecture and 2-byte character set supporting a wide range of languages, including Chinese, Futura4POS is a fully scalable, real time solution, both highly flexible and easily customised. Performance is unparalleled as each till is effectively a standalone system communicating in real time and running its own database. This ensures full stock visibility across the entire estate and continuity of trading, even if network errors or server interruptions are experienced.

The solution is hardware and database independent, and able to run on both Windows and Linux, a key benefit to tier 1 enterprise businesses.   Futura 4POS also takes a ‘best in breed’ approach to Head Office systems, providing retailers with complete flexibility as to whether they implement Futura4POS alongside Futura’s  award winning head office retail management system, FuturERS or other head office systems.

The new POS is completely touch driven for all standard EPOS functionality but also for all tradition ‘back office’ functions. Branch functions are accessible through the same touch screen, with a fully customisable interface to facilitate corporate branding, work processes unique to each retailer and functionality relevant to individual employees.  The use of  web services and JAVA plug-ins makes it simple to integrate a wealth of additional applications and functionality, including Futura’s gift card or Loyalty module plus any number of  third party plug-ins including  Chip & PIN, contactless payment and RFID.

Ian Royall, Chairman of Futura Retail Solutions says: “We have designed a state of the art POS system suitable for lifestyle retailers and department stores with 10+ outlets or those wanting to expand on the high street.  Our real time architecture allows Head Office to have a continuous up to date view of all stores in different time zones - an essential ingredient for managing an omni-channel business across an international estate. Fast to learn and intuitive to use, we believe retailers will achieve greater accuracy, better transaction speed to keep queues to a minimum and have more time for customer engagement.”

Ian Royall continues: “This announcement demonstrates Futura’s ability to compete with the best in the retail software market. Futura has over 35 years’ experience of delivering clever, robust, affordable solutions to the retail sector.  This new technology, coupled with our experience of working with several multinational global brands from Shanghai to Baku, means we are perfectly placed to help more UK brands go global.”
