With 14 branches, the Theo Wormland GmbH & Co. KG is one of the leading retail chains for men‘s fashion and trend wear in Germany.
The company established by the retail visionary and art collector Theo Wormland in Hannover in 1935 stands for fashion with style and attitude and a ground breaking, uncompromising customer orientation in terms of design. This philosophy continued after the death of Theo von Wormland in 1983 and was shown impressively in 2006 with the opening of the new WORMLAND flagship stores in the Europa Passage in Hamburg. On over 2,500 m2 sales area WORMLAND represents the retailer of the 21st century and once again pioneers the implementation of unique shop architecture with real experience of style. This shop concept is the basis for the further development of all existing and newly opened branches.

It has been 10 years since WORMLAND and Futura Retail Solution AG got acquainted at the CeBit in Hannover. The IT environment consisted of an AS/400 which was to be replaced by Windows based enterprise resource planning. Another unique feature of Wormland is the high level of responsibility granted to the individual branches. Thus a software was required that would grant the branches access to the functions of enterprise resource planning and controlling. After the first talks, Futura Retail Solution AG suggested determining the exact needs of the client involving both project teams in a workshop running several days. Thereby a new procedure for analysing the customer flows with the software was to be planned. The so-called „process comparison“ was born and since then it has been a standardised procedure at Futura Retail Solution AG to consider all aspects relevant to smooth and timely implementation prior to launching a project.
