Mustang Jeans
The company
A long time ago the first jeans were produced outside America in the small tailors L. Hermann in Künzelsauer. Today this family business is called MUSTANG and is one of the leading jeans brands in Europe. Since then the company has not only processed material for many trousers but also much material for stories. Stories of adventurous barters for the first patterns and big deals. Stories of 300 pairs of trousers with the first order and of up to 23,000 pairs of trousers daily.Established in 1932 the first jeans were produced (as dungarees) in 1948, and from 1953 the first jeans for ladies - sexy, indecent and totally blue.
The close-fitting trousers were sold as „girls camping trousers“ so „decent“women could wear them too. Years followed with one innovation after the other and Mustang ensured that theGerman athletes were elegant for the Olympic Games in Munich (1972).The product range was extended to T-shirts, shirts and accessories and soon everybody in the country knew the label with the horse.
With much love for detail MUSTANG chose a new direction and high-quality designer jeans were manufactured - socially acceptable with rivets and pinstripes.
A trustful partnership has developed between us and Futura and we have - to use MUSTANG terminology - backed the right horse.

ERP
Today MUSTANG market their products in 44 countries using their own companies and distributors. The experiences made in its own stores are transferred to the collaboration with specialised trade. Mustang started area cooperation with its customers on a broad scale at an early stage, whereby MUSTANG is responsible for the correct stocking and the customer is focussed on selling., MUSTANG retail partnerships and the MUSTANG franchise concept encounter great interest nationally and internationally.
Due to different ways of distribution and internationalisation, a demand emerged for softwaresupported procedures, which had to fulfil the high requirements of optimal goods controlling for all distribution methods. Alexander Seeberger, Head of Organisation/ IT explains the decision of the company-wide application of FuturERS: „For us only a system that covered all forms of retailing was worth considering. The international attitude of the software supplier as regards language diversity and the country specific data taken into account by the software spoke for FuturERS“.
